About Our Client
Our client is a world leading chemicals and materials supplier with employs over 17,000 staff worldwide. Due to business expansion plan, they are looking for an Assistant Logistics Operation Manager who would be responsible for Taiwan logistics operation and external logistics service providers management in their Hong Kong office.
Job Duties
- Oversee external logistics service providers and manage daily operations to ensure the business performance standards are met
- Handle warehouse and tank farm network management, and review all operations and automation performance to ensure the logistics operation process is optimal and seamless
- Conduct monthly business performance review on cost, quality, service, and safety with external logistics service providers, and develop improvement plans
- Support on logistics safety management framework, internal and external audits with follow up actions
- Support on different KPIs monitoring, including but not limited to logistics cost, inventory accuracy, customer claims, OTIF, safety, and sustainability targets
- Conduct contract negotiations, contract renewals with logistics service providers
- Establish and implement best practices in overseas transport and warehouse operation, and communicate with different internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement processes in overseas logistics operations
- Liaise with digital development project and identify opportunities to gain advantage from logistics setup
Requirement
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics or related disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain / Logistics
- Proficient in MS Office, SAP software is preferable
- Regional supply chain / logistics operation management experience is preferable
- Knowledge in handling dangerous goods is preferable
- Fluent communication in English and Mandarin
