About our Client
Our client is a global leading luxury goods retailer with over US $60 million sales turnover per annum. Due to an aggressive expansion plan in Asia, the team is looking for an Assistant Manager to join its Supply Chain Planning team based in Hong Kong regional HQ.
About the Role
- Report to Regional Supply Chain Manager, lead a small team of supply chain planners to achieve the business goals of high sales growth and low inventory level
- Manage the sales forecast of Asia Pacific including China and Japan
- Develop business model for OTB planning and merchandise planning per category and per store
- Manage daily replenishment of a distribution network of 120 boutiques in Asia
- Propose monthly reorder of Ladies and Men leather goods with a volume of over 10k pieces per month
- Develop Excel VB program for automatic reporting system for supply chain and merchandising teams
- Collaborate with merchandisers from 14 countries for event planning and new store planning
- Initiate and manage Asia's auto-replenishment project including IT tools training and compliance
- Monitor sales trend and special event to plan the target inventory per SKU in store level
- Conduct quantitative research in product mix,size mix and segmentation study in developing merchandising plan before each buying session
- Optimize inventory level through internal transfer and regional transfer
- Conduct biweekly conference call with head office regarding the supply chain projects and sales and stock situation in Asia
- Coordinate with external wholesaler for forecast planning and stock replenishment
- Tertiary Education in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration or other related discipline with a minimum 5 year relevant experience preferably in Supply Chain/ Merchandising/ Business Analyst
- Analytical skills and sensitive to numbers
- Excellent at Excel, knowledge in VBA and/or TXT will be a valuable advantage
- Language skills: English, Cantonese & Mandarin, other language ability is an added advantage
- Occasional travel is required
