Our client is one of the well established tertiary education provider in Hong Kong, providing diploma and above education with multiple campus. With various system development and enhancement projects, they are looking for an experienced candidate with strong application development and team management to join the team.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director of Information Technology, the Assistant Director of Information Technology (Information Systems) is responsible for the planning, design, development, implementation and support of major systems and technologies within the campus. You will lead the team in strategic planning of the future operations of the team in system enhancement, outsourcing and mobile applications. You will lead a sizeable team of system developers to develop, maintain and implement information systems, such as Student Information Systems, Finance Information Systems and Human Resources Systems; to support the daily operations of academic and administrative offices/ departments; and to provide various levels of information for the diversified stakeholders of the University community. You should possess not only the expertise in information systems development, but also rich knowledge in cloud and mobile applications.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you should be a degree holder in Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related subjects. You should have a strong academic credentials with substantial years of work experience at a senior level, strong business sense of the project management from inhouse or vendor side is definitely a competitive advantage. You should possess strong leadership skills with effective communications and interpersonal skills. Substantial project management experience with a proven record of achievement in the field of information systems development is essential. Fluency in Cantonese and English is required.
