About The Client
Our client is a HK headquartered business with global presence. They are now hiring a Group HR Director who'd come in to lead and implement HR strategies to recruit, retain and develop talents; and seek to develop an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasises excellence and collaboration. Reporting into the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing the entire employee-life cycle, and the development of new people-related systems, processes, and metrics that support the achievement of business goals and strategic objectives, and also the company's new management philosophy.

About The Role
The successful candidate will head up the HR function and be responsible for establishing policies and best practices for the organisation, administering benefits and supervising the HR and recruitment team. You will also be responsible for performance management and personnel compliance with full-time headquarters staff and overseas employees, and advising country offices around the world. Resposibilities include:

- Work collaboratively with executive management, line managers, HR team, and other stakeholders to build a culture of excellence and innovation. In collaboration with the leadership team, facilitate organisational structure/ design discussions and lead the roll out of the business' new management philosophy
- Manage employee relations issues in a balanced, fair and objective manner; work with legal department and local counsel to ensure compliance with international labor laws, support audits as necessary
- Provide tools and guidelines to support and implement policies and procedures, domestics and international employment agreements, development of HRIS, field office employee manuals, benefit summaries and compensation guidelines; maintain a high-quality central HR function, including appropriate technology, system and tools, including the use of metrics and people data to inform key decisions
- Lead development and execution of employee engagement and retention strategies, plans, and initiatives including the design and implementation of a training, mentoring and professional development and succession plans
- Manage the performance management process and facilitate the improvement of performance management systems and training for domestic and international staff

Requirements
The ideal candidate will be/exhibit:

- Human Resources professional with 20+ years of progressive human resources/organisation development experience
- Experience in domestics and international recruiting and HR operations
- Deep and broad understanding of employment law, recruitment and selection, employee relations, compensation and benefits
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and collaboratively about staff development and training
- Experience selecting, implementing and institutionalising HR IT systems
- Ability to influence and builid credibility at all levels and establish collaborative work relationships, and strong strategic and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex, decentralised and geographically diverse organisational structure
- Ability to supervise a team to produce results, prioritise and perform a variety of tasks on short notice within demanding deadlines, and proven ability to work under pressure
- Ability to determine and ensure compliance with all statutory laws and regulations
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
