Our client is a growing and acquisitive local conglomerate, with a focus on M&A transactions for the SME markets. They are now inviting Corporate Lawyers with PQE 8+ to join as part of the growing team.
About The Role
This is a newly created Legal Counsel position reporting into the Executive Director, as part of a lean but indispensable legal function. The successful applicant will have sustained interaction with senior decision-makers and the Board, advising on all manner of corporate matters, including acquisitions, joint ventures and assessing the group's structural organisation and efficiency. Working closely with stakeholders including the finance, tax and HR teams, you will take ownership of internal structural matters and key acquisitions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who eventually wishes to take the step up to General Counsel.
Requirements
You will be a qualified corporate lawyer with good academics and at least 8 years' PQE. You will be keen to do M&A in a different, modern and more efficient way, as the business continues to carve out its niche as a game-changer in the M&A market. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of advising on acquisitive deals, from sizeable companies or professional services firms. You will be pleasant yet efficient, technically strong and an effective manager of stakeholders.
