Our client is a Hong Kong conglomerate that has a growing portfolio in Hong Kong and globally. With an enviable record of success, they are now further expanding their technology team and looking for an Enterprise Data Architect.
About the Role
Reporting to the Department Head, you will collaborate across the organization with architects, project managers and technical counterparts to develop overall implementation data architectures. As a team lead, you will partner with third party providers, focusing on data lake strategies and transformation and work closely with the different platform owners in creating and maintaining their road maps and ensures enterprise alignment and integration. You will be an integral member of the architecture team to support the ongoing development and realisation of the enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring the strategy supports the current and future data needs. You will also be involved in collaboration with Business and IT stakeholders to ensure the correct data architecture is being applied across key projects, as you will be a key stakeholder and advisor on the data strategy. In addition, you will need to analyze current architecture's effectiveness to develop strategies for improvement as well as preparing technical design diagrams, system schematics, and data conversion requirements.
The Successful Applicants
- Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science Engineering, or Mathematics focus preferred
- 7+ years of experience in data warehousing or data lake design
- Hands on experience performing data profiling and cloud migration
- Strong foundational knowledge of Enterprise IT and operating natively within cloud.
- Extensive experience of cloud design principles, modern application architectures and underlying platform
- Hands on skills building custom reports and dashboards
- Knowledge in TOGAF
- Ability to analyze data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies
- Excellent communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability and interest in managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with a variety of individuals
- Good command in Chinese and English
