Our client is one of the sizeable retail banks in Hong Kong, they are now expanding their finance team and looking for a (Deputy) Head of Finance with 10+ years of relevant banking experience to join. Competitive package offered to attract the best.
About The Role
As the (Deputy) Head of Finance, you will manage and oversee the Financial Accounting Department. You will establish and review the current accounting system and ensure it's meeting statutory and financial reporting requirements. You will also monitor financial compliance, external financial reporting, HKMA returns and FRR, whilst be the key person to liaise with external regulatory bodies. You will also monitor and ensure the bank is in compliance with all statutory requirements and internal policies / guidelines in relation to liquidity, connected lending, large exposures and capital adequacy ratio (CAR).
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant and degree-holder in accounting, finance, business administration or relevant disciplines, with 10+ years accounting / auditing experience acquired from banking field. Experience in Big 4 an advantage. You will demonstrate strong leadership skills also an individual who can work independently. Tactful communications skills to influence senior decision makers within the business will be essential, and a strong analytical mind will help excel in this role. Proficiency in both Chinese and English will be required and this role offers a competitive package to attract the best.
