About Our Client
Our client is a leading luxury retailer, due to business expansion plan, they are looking for a Distribution Centre Operations Manager in Hong Kong who would be report to the Regional Senior Logistics Manager and responsible for Hong Kong a new distribution centre setup and daily operations.
Job Duties
- Supervise daily distribution operations and inbound & outbound delivery to maintain the standard delivery service records
- Monitor stock movement and stock level in warehouse
- Manage and monitor the 3PL daily operation, performance and KPI review with providing suggestions to ensure the performance requirements are met
- Conduct RFQ and tendering process, negotiate price and terms to service providers, and provide briefing regarding the distribution centre setup and required service level
- Handle and conduct tender process with contract renewal in compliance with company policies
- Identify improvement and cost saving opportunities, drive continuous improvement plans to enhance the operations efficiency and effectiveness
- Analysis performance, and prepare weekly and monthly reports
- Review subcontracting expenses versus budget, and drive continuous cost saving plans
- Handle ad-hoc project as required
Requirement
- Degree holder or above in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related disciplines
- At least 8 years of experience in warehouse/ distribution centre management, preferably with experience in retail industry
- Experience in project management, warehouse/ distribution centre setup, system integration is preferable
- Experience in logistics tender, rate negotiation with service providers is preferable
- Experience in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint), ERP, SAP or any supply chain software solutions is preferable
- Fluent communication in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
