Our client is a listed food service company and a Fortune 500 company with global presence. As part of their expansion plan in Asia, they are currently hiring an experienced Executive Chef to lead the back of house team of an luxury restaurant outlet in Hong Kong.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will maintain complete control of all kitchen operations as an Executive Chef. You will lead your brigade in food preparation and culinary activities execution. Aside from overseeing kitchen operations, you are responsible for menu design, planning serving sizes and dealing with food vendors. You will ensure the highest standards of food preparation and delivery, as well as effective communication across all sectors of the kitchen operations. In addition, you will ensure targets are met in relation to payroll and food costs and that the brigade comply with food safety and health & safety procedures and policies.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar capacity at a 5-star hotel or Michelin Starred restaurant. You must possess strong experience in European and Western cuisine. You will demonstrate effective management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team. Strong passion about delivering high quality, seasonal food is essential success factor. Proficiency in English is a pre-requisite for this role.
