About Our Client
Our client is an aggressively expanding hotel group with a focus in running hotels and onsen resorts around Japan. To cope with their expansion plan, they are looking for a Finance Director to be based in Tokyo.
About the Role
Reporting into the CEO, you will lead around a team of 10 in Tokyo and being fully responsible for the operations finance department. You will develop organisational strategies by contributing financial data, analysis and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction. You will assist the CEO in running financial models for any potential new investments as well as looking after the tax and treasury functions of the Group.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify, you will be a degree holder in Accounting or related subjects with a recognized CPA qualification. You should have at least 15 years progressive track record of success and acquired at least 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in hospitality, F&B or the retail industry. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis. Fluency in Japanese and English is essential.
