About The Client
Our client is a leading property developer in Hong Kong. They are currently hiring for a Head of Legal to lead the team and oversee all legal matters throughout the property development cycle, targeting legal practitioners with PQE 15+ ideally from both law firms and in-house environment.
About The Role
Reporting into the CEO, you will take lead of the legal team and will:
- Review, negotiate and draft legal documents, assist in reviewing commercial and legal risks
- Advise on tender documents relating to land acquisitions and property development (and redevelopment), loan documentation for development projects, construction contracts and legal / property management issues
- Lead the DMC approval and pre-sale consent application process for development projects
- Take responsibility for the implementation of group leasing and rental collection policies, and perform ongoing progress to ensure legal compliance with best practice risk management
- Manage relationship with external counsels
- Prepare legal documentation for properties acquisition and disposal
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
- Hong Kong Qualified Solicitor with 15+ years of post-qualified experience gained from reputable law firms
- Sound commercial sense and legal knowledge for Hong Kong property and share sales, leasing, property management and other areas
- Good drafting skills
- Excellent communications skills liaising with senior stakeholders and external vendors
- Proficiency in Englsih and Chinese
