About The Client
Our client is a long-standing luxury retailer with growing presence across Asia Pacific. To cope with business strategy, they are looking for a Group Senior Legal Counsel with PQE 10+ and relevant China experience to join as part of the team.
About The Role
Working within a lean team structure, you will report into the General Counsel and would provide commercially focused legal support and advice to the business. This would include identifying and resolving legal issues or considerations to safeguard the fast-changing business against any risk, and at the same time build meaningful work relationships with diverse stakeholders including commercial, services, business teams and external counsels. You will also ensure compliance to regulatory standards and play an active role in ensuring a strong corporate governance culture.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Law with strong academic credentials. 10+ years of post-qualified experience acquired from law firm and multi-brand retailer, alongside strong legal experience in corporate and commercial matters covering Greater China region required for this role. A hands-on, independent and driven individual, you will also be proficient in both written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred).
