About the Company
A Hong Kong-based restaurant group with restaurant and retail business across Hong Kong is looking for a Head Chef to join their growing team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you are responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen whilst supervising and developing the back of house team. You will ensure the highest standards of food preparation and delivery, as well as an effective communication across all sections of the kitchen. Working closely with different vendors, you are responsible for food ordering, inventory control and delivery, and budget management for the kitchen. You will participate in pre-opening projects for new restaurant openings, and responsible for menu development and creation ensuring seasonality of ingredients. Most importantly, you will ensure targets in relation to food and operational costs and the team comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned culinary professional with a minimum of 8 years Chef experience working in a high volume restaurant environment, with previous team management experience. You must be passionate about delivering high quality and seasonal food. You must have the ability to communicate clearly with your team and enjoy leading a team.
