A Hong Kong-based multi-concept restaurant group going under expansion. An exciting opportunity has arisen and they are now looking for a Head Chef for their flagship restaurant in Hong Kong.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Executive Chef, you are responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen whilst supervising and developing the back of house team. You will ensure the highest standards of food preparation and delivery, as well as an effective communication across all sections of the kitchen. Working closely with different vendors, you are responsible for food ordering, inventory control and delivery, and budget management for the kitchen. You are responsible for menu development and creation ensuring seasonality of ingredients. Most importantly, you will ensure targets in relation to food and operational costs and the team comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned culinary professional with a minimum of 8 to 10 years' Chef experience working in a fine dining working environment, with previous team management experience. You must be passionate about delivering high quality and seasonal food. You must have the ability to communicate clearly with your team and enjoy leading a team.
