About our Client
Our client is a global leading apparel product development and supply chain company. Due to business expansion in the region, they are looking for a Head Merchandising to join the leadership team based in Hong Kong office.
About the Role
Reporting to Executive Vice President, you will run the opearation of offices in Hong Kong & China, and collaborate with other functional teams to create and propose strategy on global sourcing and merchandising. You will ensure optimal allocation among vendors that support customer's business needs, satisfy the cost, quality and delivery requirement, and deliver profitable growth for the company. As a functional business unit head, you will collaborate with company's functional teams, and direct reports to drive and execute production processes of the supply chain to ensure product quality and aesthetics and on-time delivery, with a focus on mitigating potential risks, and problem solving. In addition, you will prepare annual sales budget, forecast, and manage cost control, maximise profit margin to achieve the budget. As a team leader, you will also coach and mentor direct and indirect reports with a focus on employee performance, development, and retention, develop team goals in accordance with company goals and communicate and manage these goals throughout the year.
Requirement
- Bachelor degree of above in Textiles / Fashion or related discipline with minimum 8 years relevant sourcing experience from major trading offices with at least 8 years management experience
- Strong knowledge in cut & sewn knit / sweater
- Self-driven, flexible, opened-minded and creative
- Excellent written and verbal Cantonese, Mandarin and English
