With their continuous expansion in their business, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a high-calibre professional to join the Project Management team.

About the Role

Reporting to the GM, you will be responsible for the definition and maintenance of the standards of project management and process. You will need to deal with various senior stakeholders with updates on the overall program's delivery and underlying issues and potential risks. Key responsibilities include management of the portfolio of Group IT projects; management of IT project managers within the PMO and embedded within IT departments. Managing larger, riskier, high-profile, and longer term IT projects, strategic planning and implementation for enhancing IT project management maturity; executing project activation and ongoing portfolio prioritization processes; and ongoing reporting of IT project activities. Aside from proactively monitoring and tracking progress of schedules / deliverables against baseline, you will also need to ensure the overall program adherence to the agreed governance, process and standards. Works with vendors and teams to establish and achieve goals. Defines the project's objectives and ensures progress to plan, as well as tracking critical project achievements. Lastly, you will work with stakeholders to ensure the necessary updates into a selected PMO Tool (i.e. Status Report, Issues, Risks, Workplan, Milestones, Dependency, Decisions, Change requests, financials, resource management)


The Successful Applicant

  • BSc in Computer Science or related engineering degree with equivalent;
  • At least 10 years of working experience and minimum 6 years of PMO experience
  • In-depth understanding of software development life cycle and IT process, governance and policies
  • Expert-level knowledge of project and change management, methodologies, techniques, processes (e.g., Project and Portfolio Management Methodology - PPM)
  • Should have done end-to-end PMO for business or technology transformation large scale project
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, motivated and results-driven
  • Ability to solve problems in a structured and logical way
  • Change management knowledge and mind set, with effective stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of managing IT systems projects is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to create and present written and verbal communications
  • Good command in Chinese and English
