About Our Client
Our client is a renowned lifestyle retailer with growing APAC presence. They are currently hiring a Legal Counsel for the regional office, targeting candidates with PQE 8+ with experience acquired from reputable law firms and retailing sector, also someone familiar with general commercial support, leases and marketing agreements. About The Role
Reporting into the General Counsel, you will oversee all legal matters for the designated regions across the APAC office, including contract review and administration, advising business leaders on legal-related matters affecting business operations (inclusive of leases, marketing etc.), and also held responsible for training in relation to business practices, standards and corporate governance. As the legal counsel, you will also work closely with external counsels on various issues and kept abreast of latest development with rules and regulations for operating countries. Ad hoc projects will be allocated as required as well.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold J.D., LL.B or relevant qualifications, with PQE 8+ from reputable law firms and in house settings (ideally from retailing or FMCG sector). Prior experience within an APAC scope is essential for this role, alongside proficiency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin & Japanese a plus). High level of accuracy in work and attentive to details will help excel in this role, and solid experience in contracts drafting and negotiation and someone who can deliver with minimal supervision highly regarded.
