About Our Client
Our client is a US Pharmaceutical business with growing APAC presence. They are now hiring a Legal Counsel held responsible for Litigation, Investigations and Employment Law-related matters. Targeting candidates with 8+ years law firm and in-house experience acquired ideally from pharmaceutical related industries (healthcare, medical devices etc). Strong interpersonal skills with managing key business stakeholders will be key and this role pays circa. HKD1.2m base salary alongside competitive fringe benefits.

About The Role
Reporting into the Head of Legal based in their US Headquarters, you will take care of APAC regions and lead and support litigation, investigations and employment law related matters across the company's operations (China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia). You will also be held responsible for reviewing and ensuring best legal practices are in place, provide training and ensure consistency across the Asia Region with respect to laws and practices. This role will also work very closely with senior leadership team to influence and advise on business issues, and recommend strategies to improve company's approach to Litigation, Investigations and Employment Law matters, also manage and mitigate potential business risks.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a law degree holder and qualified lawyer, with 8+ years relevant law firm and in-house experience working for sizeable multi-national companies (ideally within pharmaceutical-related sectors). You will have sound experience around litigation, investigations and employment law, and someone with tactful interpersonal skills influencing senior business stakeholders. High proficiency in both English and Chinese is a must (Mandarin preferred) and someone who can work independently with minimal supervision will help excel in this role.
