About The Client
Our client is a well-established MNC Engineering company, currently seeking for a Legal Counsel to support the Hong Kong and Macao business.

About The Role
Reporting into the Senior Legal Director (based in Shanghai), you will work within a lean team and assume the following responsibilities:

- Act as the internal legal advisor and advise business leaders on legal and regulatory matters across Hong Kong and Macao
- Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts including sales and purchase agreement and other commercial legal documentations
- Liaise with external counsels on litigation and other complex matters
- Ensure regulatory and compliance standards are met
- Assess business risks, escalate to senior management as required, and propose action plans
- Arrange internal training for employees relating to company policies, compliance requirements, business risk and general legal knowledge

Requirements
- Degree holder in law, with PQE 5+ from MNC settings (Engineering or relevant industries preferred)
- Well-versed in local corporate/commercial laws; prior experience overseeing China or other regional countries would be an advantage
- Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
- Strong business acumen, attention to details, analytical and probpem-solving skills
- Strong stakeholders management and influencing skills
- Immediate available or short notice an advantage
