About The Client
As one of the biggest FMCG products manufacturers, our client has production facilities in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia, and their goods are sold all throughout the Asia-Pacific area. The business is currently seeking a diligent and independent legal counsel to support its growth into the PRC.
About The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director with a functional reporting line to Group Legal, you will:
- Review, draft and negotiate various commercial operational contracts in both English and Chinese, such as NDAs, trading, employment, IT services, marketing, insurance agreements;
- Advise and counsel issue and problems on legal and other compliance matters arises from the day-to-day business operations;
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to review internal policies and procedures, and with third parties to manage all activities outside of counsel, including disputes, claims and litigations;
- Provide internal training on regulations and legal issues
Requirements
- PQE 6+ from a law firm or commercial sector, with experience in FMCG and/or manufacturing industry, as well as PRC legal matters
- Experience in Intellectual Properties is a plus
- Great command of both English and Chinese, and fluent in spoken Mandarin
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent and independent
