About Our Client
Our client is a stable financial services company. To cope with business expansion across Greater China region, they are now looking for a Legal Counsel to support with the business' legal and compliance matters. Targeting candidates with PQE 3+ and experience from both law firms and in-house (ideally with experience in consumer loan or banks).

About The Role
Dual reporting into the Head of Legal and the Business' General Manager, you will assume an important role and be the go-to person for all matters relating to legal, regulatory and compliance. You will provide legal advice to ensure the business is operating at minimal risk, and take initiative reviewing agreements relating to loan, financing transactions etc. You'd also support with company secretarial matters as required and working with external vendors e.g. company secretary service providers, external counsels to ensure a comprehensive legal & compliance framework is in place. As the Legal Counsel for the business, you'd also be expected to be alert with latest changes and developments relevant to the banking sector and mitigate potential business risks.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold a LLB law degree from UK/HK universities, alongside 3+ PQE from law firms and in-house environment. Prior experience and knowlege in consumer loan and banking segment, also familiar with HKMA / SFC regulatory and compliance matters will be a definite advantage for this role. This role would require proficiency in both written & spoken Chinese and English. You will also demonstrate the maturity and strong influencing skills working with senior business stakeholders. You will also have the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines and with the independence working within a fast-changing environment with little supervision. This role pays circa. HKD1-1.2m, and immediate available candidates highly regarded.
