About our Client
Headquartered in Hong Kong, our client is a leading manufacturing group specialise in electric motor production. The group owns 3 large scale plants in China with over 5000 workers and it is a strategic supplier of global automotive make. Due to business expansion in China, the team is looking for an Operations Director to join its core production site in Zhongshan.
About your role:
- Report to Managing Director based in China and manage 3 individuals factories in China
- Alignment between Sales and manufacturing department for annual budgeting
- Analyze the P&L of factories performance and driving down for the variable cost and fix overhead. I
- Review and approve the RFQ of new business.
- Driving production shop floors for improvement projects including cost reduction, Active Planning and automation(semi & full)
- Organize a biweekly cost performance review to board of directors
- 3 years strategic manufacturing mission and corresponding roadmap.
- Facilitate monthly shipment and reach the predefined goal of On-Time-In-Full
- Driving for Lean activities, re-engineer the work procedures, work flow and ordering management system.
- Establish QIT for safety and housekeeping.
- Exploring opportunity with HKPC for auto-polishing model.
- Succession plan for key managerial staff.
- Appraise staff performance and provide proper training (internal & external)
Requirement:
- Over 10 years manufacturing operation experience in senior position
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Experience in EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry, serving communication, medical and industrial market
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent in spoken and written English and Chinese, Mandarin
