About our Client
Our client is a leading investment company in Hong Kong holding a large scale portfolio of commercial complex of office, shopping mall, and hotel. With an innovative design and unique architecture integrate nature and technology with retail, it offers unique experiences to visitors. The company has an ambitious plan to expand its property portfolio and is inviting a high caliber Project Director to join the management team for an iconic Grade A office complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full range of support to management in overall monitoring and management of high-end property development projects, including design, administration, cost control and construction management
- Supervise and manage Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and other team members to ensure delivery and achievement of project milestones
- Supervise and manage various vendors and contractors regarding project issues, e.g. review design proposals, tender documents & reports, and make recommendations on the award of contracts to vendors and contractors
- Liaise with government authorities on timely submissions and seeking of approvals
- Maintain and foster a positive relationship with relevant government authorities to ensure compliance and approval for all relevant development licenses
- Attend and chair periodic project meetings, management meetings & site supervision for coordination and quality compliance
- Advise and manage changes in project scope, budget monitoring and management
- Communicate and work closely with senior management and internal stakeholders to reflect accurately on project progress as well as possible red flags
- Degree or above in Architecture/ Engineering/ Surveying, preferably with relevant professional qualifications
- Minimum 20 years of experience working for property developers or consultants, of which a minimum of 5 years taking up project team leader position
- Strong project management experience on retail, commercial or mixed-use developments
- Strong planning, organizing and coordinating ability with good communications and problem-solving skills
- Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills with strong market knowledge and business acumen
- Excellent proficiency in written & spoken English, Cantonese & Mandarin
