Our client
Our client is a leading financial institutional with a significant presence in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific. Over the years, they have established a dominant market position in the FS industry. Due to the business expansion, a Project Manager - Banking is needed to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall project management to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Manage both internal resources (onshore or offshore resources) and 3rd party vendors for smooth delivery of projects
- Responsible for managing teams at cross country level, this includes business & technical teams (Business Analysts, Architects, Delivery Teams, UX/UI Designers, Testers)
- Able to manage dependencies across multiple work streams for system implementation projects
- Lead and manage the team to complete release planning and transition to BAU for implementation projects
- Develop detail project plan to monitor and track progress
- Manage project changes such as scope, schedule and costs
- Proven experience in identifying project risks and issues, and making effective decisions/engaging project team members to develop risk mitigation plans
- Manage the relationship with the client and key stakeholders
- Support pre-sales activities from proposal construction to presentation
Requirements:
- Degree holder preferably in Computer Science or Engineering disciplines
- Min 5 years of professional experience in system development projects
- Solid experience in project management, solution planning or delivery
- Strong technical background and project management skill
- Strong experience / knowledge in project management tools, techniques, and systems development methodologies and lifecycles, including Waterfall and Agile
- Management experience of sizable, large scale system implementation projects
- Excellent client facing and communication skills
- Ability to foster and build relationships, engage and influence others, work with diverse internal and global business units
- Flexible and adaptable when dealing with change with a strong awareness and understanding of cultural diversity
- Comfortable dealing with 3rd party vendor
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua is an advantage)
