About Our Client
Our client is one of the progressive retail and commercial banks, with an extensive network of branches and finance centres across the region. They are currently hiring a Senior Audit Manager to oversee their retail branch operations and various support units.
About The Role
Reporting into the Head of Audit, Retail Branch & Support Functions, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of an audit service for retail branches and various support units, this includes the planning and delivery of a programme of audits and monitoring the implementation of audit issues, to ensure the effective management and control of business risks in accordance with Group and professional body standards.
You will develop a productive working relationship with the external audit function as required, support the Head of department in the development of audit strategy and operation plan, monitor action plans resulting from audits undertaken to ensure recommendations are implemented as agreed and in accordance with specified timescales. Where appropriate, represent Audit on major Bank/Group projects and committees, providing advice and guidance on how to minimize risk through the use of appropriate and cost-effective system and procedural controls. You will also contribute to the development of a high-performance team through ongoing development of your professional expertise, the coordination of efforts, the sharing of best practice and sharing professional knowledge. You must ensure customers are provided with advice and service that is compliant with all existing legal, regulatory obligations, and Banking standards, policies, processes and procedures.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant educated to Degree level, with significant experience of leading end to end audit assignments in retail banks. You will have experience of designing and delivering innovative risk management and internal audit solutions; along with senior stakeholder management skills which includes negotiating business agreement to major audit issues and associated recovery/action plan. Ideally, you will also have experience of embedding strong risk management and control culture across the business. Proficiency in English and Chinese essential for this role, and a flexible mindset to challenge status quo will excel in this role.
