Job Description
Our client is one of the largest financial services institutions in Hong Kong which provides a wide range of financial services. Due to their digital transformation initiative, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting research data and analytical environment by leveraging PL/SQL, Python, Matlab to automate the ETL, financial prototypes, products and data quality platform from the ground
- Financial mathematical model development, optimisation and support
- Conduct analyses, building data pipelines, next gen data lake and data warehouse ecosystem with AWS Cloud and cutting edge technologies
- Define the master data management model to ensure data quality and standardisation
- Communicate with cross functional stakeholders for decision making
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or relevant
- 5+ years' data engineering experience with solid background wrangling data
- Previous domain modeling experience & Python literate
- Hands on experience working at least one of the following: AWS Redshift, AWS DynamoDB, SQL, MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
- Experience in BI visualisation tools (Power BI or Tableau)
- Proficient in ETL and data streaming technologies on Cloud
