About the client:
Our client is a historical food manufacturing company and specialized in manufacturing wide range of Chinese and Asian sauces. Their business and product range keep developing and expanding to move with the times. To accommodate their business expansion plan, they are looking for a Research & Development Officer/ Senior Research & Development Officer to support the new product development function.
- Responsible for new product development process, from idea generation to concept development to broaden the product portfolio and support the business expansion;
- To develop extension flavours and new product range, including processing procedures, techniques and product specifications;
- Develop prototypes and test new products for flavor, texture, color, nutritional content, and tackle the problem and refine according to assessment after each sampling session;
- Draft technical specifications and review the application including raw material, packaging material and product specification;
- Ensure the cost-effectiveness and speed-to-market of the NPD project, and comply with the food regulation in different countries.
- Bachelor Degree holder in Food and Nutritional Science or related disciplines;
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in F&B industry, candidate with experienced in developing sauce related product is a plus;
- Familiar with tradition of Chinese culinary and knowlegde of food manufacturing and process;
- Good team player, proactive, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline;
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Open to travel.
*Candidate with less experience will be consider as Food Technologist.
