About The Client
Our client is a leader within the leasing and property management sector. They are now hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to act as the deputy to the department head, targeting candidates with PQE 10+ and also relevant experience acquired from sizeable companies. Experience from leasing & property management essential and proficiency in both English and Chinese required.

About The Role
Reporting into the General Counsel, you will assume responsibilities as below:

  • Manage litigation-related matters within the premises, specifically property-related disputes e.g. rent arrears, applications for re-entry of leased premises, applications for re-possession and/or surrender of land in industrial estates, judicial review proceedings, etc.
  • Draft, review and negotiate variety of legal documents including but not limited to commercial contracts, consultancy agreements, licensing agreements, lease agreements, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent etc.
  • Be the internal legal advisor to different business divisions and recommend solutions to minimise business risks
  • Liaise with external counsels and professional parties as the company legal representative
  • Prepare legal updates and reports for senior management review
  • Assistant General Counsel on compliance-related matters
  • Support on ad hoc tasks as assigned

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Hong Kong qualified lawyer with PQE 10+ within legal and compliance field; candidates with in-house experience will be of advantage
  • Solid experience in leasing and property management
  • Attention to details with good analytical, problem-solving, oragnisational and management skills; alongside high standard of professional ethics and integrity
  • Good interpersonal skills working with C-suite executives
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese required
