About our Client
Our client is a well-known education group in Hong Kong. They are looking for a Legal Manager to join their group.
About the Role
- Individual contributor, report to the CEO
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and other third parties
- Develop and implement company policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management on various legal matters, including contract interpretation and regulatory compliance
- Manage litigation matters and work with outside counsel as necessary
- Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, policies, and other legal agreements
- Other Ad-hoc legal duties
The Successful Candidate
- Degree holder or above in Law or other related disciplines from an accredited law school.
- At least 7 years of experience in a legal role, with a focus on contract review and policy formulation, preferable gained from international investment banks / international law firms / well known in-house
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance
- Experience working in the education industry is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong English command
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
