About our client:
Our client is a global leading luxury retail group with an annual turnover over USD 60 billion per annum. The group operates in 120 markets across the globe, selling apparel, fashion accessories, fragance products. Due to business expansion in APAC region, there is a newly created role in the APAC supply chain centre in Hong Kong.

Job Summary:

  • Report to Supply Chain Director based in Hong Kong, you will lead a team of 3
  • Manage the logistics flow from HQ/production units to Distribution Center (DC)/boutiques/clients to achieve target services levels within costs objectives, optimized assets utilization, reached sustainability goals.
  • Proactively evaluate the performance and execution of the end-to-end logistics activities from worldwide DC to LDC/boutiques/clients including custom clearance and compliance related activities for both merchandises and non-merchandising stock.
  • Define and deploy logistics strategy base on the market requirements and translate those into service deliverables with the logistics services providers. Apply best practice sharing and strive for standardization and harmonization of processes whenever possible.
  • Lead Market Business reviews which include KPI reviews and continuous improvement topics with logistics managers across the APAC region
  • Define action plans to improve processes, method and tools
  • Analyze, identify and inform logistics market updates to the Supply Chain Team and senior management
  • Elaborate logistics budgets in cooperation with Finance
  • Manage cost and performance to match with the budget and target services level and define actions plan for correction if needed
  • Ensure that process requirements and service deliverables are documented in Standard Operating Procedures and/or Service Level Agreements with respective stakeholders and ensure that the agreed processes and service are implemented and executed successfully in the day-to-day operations and within the scope of contractual agreements.
  • Organize and manage resources (identify potential, mobility to come and jobs rotation opportunities)
  • Recruit, animate, motivate, train and develop teams and potential to guarantee efficiency

  • University degree holder preferably in logistics and supply chain related discipline
  • At least 12 years work experience, ideally in luxury or fashion retail or a fast-moving logistics environment for overall logistics responsibility
  • Experience in multi-national transportation logistics and warehouse project management with the drive and energy to implement change
  • Very good understanding, knowledge and experience in transport logistics and warehousing processes
  • Good planning and organizational skills, including project management skills from initiation to closure
  • Good knowledge of computer applications, MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-Powerpoint
  • Excellent English language proficiency; multi-lingual abilities in other languages is an advantage
