About The Client
Our client is a leading mixed industry group with strong presence in Hong Kong & China. They are now hiring a Senior Learning and Talent Development Manager to join as part of the HR team; targeting candidates with 12+ years of relevant experience acquired from dynamic and fast-growing organisations to join (ideally from retail, hospitality or professional services firms).

About The Role
Reporting into the Head of Human Resources, you will lead a small team and provide strategic direction on learning, talent strategy (largely from scratch) that will add value to this growing and fast-paced organisation. You will ensure talents are retained and engaged to deliver business excellence; work closely with Business Heads building strong relationships to understand their needs and coach/advise the business as necessary; develop and manage the performance management/appraisal process across the organisation; and implement a strategy surrounding Talent & Succession Planning and roll this out across the organisation. This will also include role mapping and OD working with the BPs and HR department as well as designing and implementing talent management programmes for all populations. You will lead the Cultural development of the organisation to ensure demonstrable values of agile, responsiveness and innovation, also ensure partnership style commercial relationships with stakeholders, allowing the enablement and improvement of line manager competence and capability. You will oversee the development, delivery and regular review of the Learning & Talent Development business plan, budget planning, workforce plans and risk register.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will be an estalibhsed Head of Learning & Talent Development (or Senior Manager equivalent) with experience either operating in a growing mid-szed organisation or a large matrixed conglomerate. You will have a track record defining and implementing organisation wide L&D / Talent Strategy as well as being comfortable rolling your sleeves up and delivering against plans, supported by a small team. You will also demonstrate experience of thought leadership and able to adopt innovative approach to complex problems, also the ability dealing with Ambiguity and working directly with senior business stakeholders. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese required for this role.
