About Our Client
Our client is a long-established NGO with one of the largest coverage of youth service in the Hong Kong community. For succession planning, they are looking for an Associate Director to join their management team.
About The Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will manage a large team and lead the development and operations of existing and new services / projects in accordance with the Association's strategic direction and to ensure long-term growth and sustainability of the Association. You will develop, implement and improve continuously management initiatives, policies and guidelines to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of service and project execution. More importantly, you will build people and teams, as well as the talent pipeline for future management team, through performance management and career development and to maintain a workforce with a high level of motivation and productivity. In addition, you will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including but not limited to Government bodies, Board/Committees, donors, funding partners, corporates and the community.
The Successful Applicant
To quality, you should be a Bachelor degree holder in Social Work with professional qualification of registered social worker is a must. Master or higher degree qualification in related discipline is preferred. You should possess at least 20 years of professional experience, and over 10 years in management level, preferably in children and youth services. Knowledge and experience in corporate management functions in public organizations or large corporations, such as HR, Finance, Corporate Administration and Governance, Information Technology, is an advantage. You should be a strong leader with capable team management ability. It is important to think strategically and manage a diverse number of relationships as well as to source and adapt new ideas to improve own quality of work and willingness to consider different approaches. Last but not least, you should have the capability of collaborating with partners from other NGOs, businesses and government bodies.
