Our client is a fast growing innovative company with an expanding portfolios of technology solutions business globally. As part of the company's aggressive expansion plan in the fast growing internet industry, a need has arisen to recruit a new Software Engineering Director, IT Ecommerce

About the role

Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for driving a sustainable technology approach centred on the creation of an in-house mobile first E-commerce platform, capable of supporting the business as its customer pipeline grows. Working alongside with the Product Director, you and your team will be responsible for an end-to-end technology strategy and deliver a best-in-class scalable platform capable of supporting their business growth globally. In addition, you will need to embed an agile development methodology, drive the roadmap and release schedule and ensure the timely and efficient delivery and iteration of both the web and mobile platform. Lastly, you will define the overall technology strategy and budget, leading the architecture and delivery of an in-house, scalable E-commerce, mobile and in-store interactive platform development while working closely with the digital marketing team.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 8 years of experience with an university degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with successful deployment of large scale web or mobile products in an agile product development environment
  • Ability to direct a team and negotiate and influence stakeholders within the team and externally in the broader organization
  • Ability to build long term relationships across the organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences including those at the executive leadership level
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and developing technical professionals
  • Advanced Engineering skills with wide-ranging experience; able to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Good command in English and Chinese
