About Our Client
Our client is a leading manufacturer of consumer and business products with more than 20 brands available in over 100 countries. Due to business expansion plan, they are looking for a Sourcing Manager in Hong Kong office.
Job Duties
- Explore and develop a supplier base that provides competitive advantage quality, value, cost, delivery and technology, review exciting supplier base, and identify improvement opportunities
- Contributes material sourcing to ensure the suppliers are selected based on overall cost effectiveness and ability
- Travel overseas for site visit to ensure the requirement of suppliers and operations are met
- Manage and handle all activities of sourcing component and finished goods in a strategic way with cost negotiation, investigate alternate component technologies for cost saving and availability improvement
- Liaise with different functional teams for product development and engineering on new product to ensure the requirements on selected components are met
- Coordinate between internal functional teams and suppliers in product development to review the specification and promote design advancement
- Maintain and share up-to-date market and technology information with different functional team to identify product opportunities
Requirement
- Degree holder or above in Supply Chain Management/ Engineering or related disciplines
- 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing
- Experience in sourcing mechanical and electrical components is preferable
- Fluent communication in English and Chinese
- Proficient in Excel and related system is preferable
