About Our Client

Our client is a leading European Buying Office and they are looking for a Supply Chain Manager in their Hong Kong office, and would be responsible for leading a team which specialist in handling freight forwarder contracts renewal, terms negotiations, tendering and evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement freight forwarder contract renewal, price & terms negotiations, agreed service standard requirements, and operating procedures
  • Identify potential service provider and conduct background information analysis especially ocean freight logistics data in freight rates, container volumes and port pairs
  • Review and evaluate the logistics service providers' performance and productivity
  • Monitor logistics service providers operations to ensure the requirement of successful delivery are met
  • Identify improvement and cost saving opportunities, drive continuous improvement plans to enhance the operations efficiency and effectiveness
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on all logistics issues
  • Lead team in direct buying programs in terms of shipment planning, arrangement and documentation

Requirements

  • Degree holder or above in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related disciplines
  • At least 4 years of experience in Logistics/ Supply Chain/ Shipping field, preferably with experience in Logistics Service Provider, Freight Forwarder, Cargo Owner, Buying Office
  • Experience in logistics tender, rate negotiation, contract management with logistics service providers is preferable
  • Experience in team leading in a sizeable organization is preferable
  • Experience in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint), PowerBI or any supply chain software solutions is preferable
  • Fluent communication in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
