About our Client
Our client is a young and trendy Hong Kong based restaurant group with strong commitment in delivering a world-class fine dining experience to their prestigious guests. As part of their business expansion plan in Hong Kong, they would like to invite an experienced Sushi Chef to join their team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will maintain complete control of the kitchen operations at an upscale Omakase restaurant and manage sushi preparation and execution. You are responsible for delivering the highest standards of food preparation and delivery, as well as effective communication across all sections of the kitchen operations. In addition, you will ensure targets are met in relation to payroll and food costs and that the brigade comply with food safety and health & safety procedures and policies.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working at an upscale Japanese Omakase restaurant. You must possess strong experience in Japanese cuisine, especially in sushi execution. You will demonstrate effective management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team. Strong passion about delivering high quality, seasonal food is an essential success factor. Proficiency in Japanese and English is a pre-requisite for this role.
