About the Company

Our client is a local-headquartered bank with growing presence in Hong Kong. As part of the business transformation project, they are currently hiring a solid HR business partner to join as part of the team.

About the Role

Reporting into the Head of HR, you will work within a lean team, overseeing a designated service area. You will partner closely with business to align HR practices with strategic business initiatives; ensure HR services are provided as appropriate and identify new opportunities where HR can add value and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR issues and best practices. As the internal HR 'go-to' person, you will advise senior business stakeholders to develop, implement and manage a career development policy and plan to ensure that employees are trained and developed to meet their full potential not only within their business or function but also within the Group. You will also support line management in forecasting and planning the talent requirements in line with business strategy. Working alongside the shared services team, you will manage the compensation review process closely to ensure equal pay and market norms are considered, whilst also ensure that performance management policies and procedures are implemented and attained and that the Appraisal Programme is adhered to.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be degree educated in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant disciplines with at least 8+ years' experience acquired from financial institutions. You will be an independent HR practitioner with an effective and hands-on approach; demonstrate strong influencing skills and business acumen, also the ability to partner with business leaders and staff to achieve business goals and maintain collaborative partnerships. You will also demonstrate maturity dealing with ambiguous situations and ability working under pressure with tight deadlines. Complete fluency in both English and Chinese is essential.
