Accountant (AP Focused) - (up to HK$28K)

About Our Client

This leading trading and manufacturing company is now looking for a financial accountant to work on a global role based in Hong Kong. This role focused on monitoring account payable status and also supporting month-end closing.

About The Role

  • Work closely with country accounts payable team and collect invoices to ensure prompt and accurate settlement of invoices.
  • Prepare accounting entries for accounts payable transactions.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statement, issue debit notes and handle related accounting adjustments.
  • Suggest payment priority to senior accountant and make accurate payments to vendors.
  • Assist in improving the accounts payable and assist in month-end closing.
  • Oversee work assignments for part-time accounting staff.
  • Responsible for ad hoc assignments from seniors.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree holder in Accounting or relevant disciplines.
  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience is preferred.
  • Fresh graduate will also be considered.
  • Strong in MS Excel and have practical knowledge in MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and written skills in English, conversational in Putonghua is preferred.
  • Ability to work well as a team play while also demonstrating the ability to make independent judgement.
  • Willing to learn with cooperative and positive attitude.
