Position Overview:

Our client is a global leading Fintech firm, they're seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join their team now. This role will be responsible for ensuring financial trading systems (including stocks, futures, and forex) run stably and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional troubleshooting skills and a strong customer service mindset.



Key Responsibilities:

  • First-line Production Support:
    • Respond promptly to system failures and user-reported issues and being available outside office hours if needed.
  • Production System Problem Management:
    • Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of production issues.
  • Internal Testing:
    • Ensure the correctness and stability of new features and versions.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Assistance:
    • Ensure user satisfaction and timely feedback on test results.
  • Health Checks:
    • Conduct regular system health checks to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance:
    • Monitor trading system performance and conduct daily maintenance.
  • Business Collaboration:
    • Work closely with business teams to understand business needs and provide technical solutions.
  • System Optimization:
    • Analyze system logs to identify potential problems or improvement opportunities.
  • Automation and Efficiency Improvement:
    • Design and implement automation scripts and tools to enhance efficiency.



Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years of experience in application support for financial trading systems or related fields.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in SQL query languages.
    • Familiarity with the FIX protocol and related standards.
    • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
    • Understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMWare.
  • Language:
    • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Conversational level of Putonghua is required.
  • Other Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
    • Strong communication skills, able to effectively communicate with non-technical personnel.
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and projects.
