About the Client
Our client is a multi-national start-up company focusing on gene-editing based solutions. Founded by leaders from Harvard Clinical School and the University of Illinois, they hope to utilize gene editing technology to design curative solutions for genetic diseases. To cope with their recent expansion, they are seeking multiple high-calibre individuals to join their bioinformatic team as a scientist/senior scientist.
About the Role
- Develop bioinformatic pipelines to analyse experiment data from next generation sequencing
- Develop in silico platform for gene profiling and analysis
- Perform data analysis on findings from both primary and secondary sources
- Present and discuss findings with team members and management
- ensure research progress up to project timeline
The Successful applicant
- A PhD in bioinformatics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, life science, biomedical science or equivalent disciplinary
- Fresh graduates, visa dependant and IANG holders are welcome to apply
- Candidates with relevant working experience maybe considered as senior scientist
- Possess knowledge of gene editing and sequencing, nucleic acid synthesis, and PCR
- For bioinformatic scientists, knowledge of scripting or programming language, and Linux OS is a pre-requisite of the role
- Excellent command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese is a pre-requisite of this role
- Excellent analytical, communication, organisation, presentation skills and critical thinking
- Of attentive, responsible character and a team player
- Candidates with sales experience in the biomedical and research industry would be of advantage
