Job Description

Financial Compliance Manager (3-month contract)

  • Luxury brand, APAC market
  • Regional finance, compliance and governance
  • Maternity cover, 3-month contract (renewable)
  • 5-day work, up to $50-60k
  • Immediate availability is preferred
  • Location: Quarry Bay (base in HK)

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial booking guidelines based on global/regional finance policies
  • Interpret IFRS/Accounting standards and translate into daily financial account & reporting operation needs
  • Monitor updates in accounting standards/legislation on reporting and create awareness, work with global accounting policies team
  • Coordinate for annual audit and external audit, follow up audit issues
  • Handle daily compliance and governance matters and provide advice to APAC local markets on CoA usage, compliance for reporting, accounting procedures, etc.
  • Facilitate between global and local markets for Group policies and compliance
  • Own the end-to-end audit process (from detailed planning, audit fieldwork, reporting to follow-up) and establish a strong partner relationship with external auditors, local market CFOs and Global Compliance team
  • Business partner with global and other regional groups on projects related to new IFRS or global initiated projects
  • Align standards, KPIs and procedures of process with all APAC markets and ensure process documentation are readily available to the business

Requirements

  • At least 6-10 years of solid experience in Audit, accounting or compliance in commercial / bank / finance / luxury sector, preferably in sizable organization or with regional exposure
  • Experience and strong knowledge in external audit and financial compliance
  • Knowledge in financial market of luxury in APAC region will be a plus
  • Responsible, detail-minded, self-initiated and mature
  • Strong communication, analytical and organization skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Able to multi-task and work well with various internal teams
  • Immediate availability is preferred
