About the Client

Our client is a fast growing company with an expanding portfolios of products and services in Hong Kong and China. As part of the company's aggressive expansion plan in the fast growing industry, a need has arisen to recruit a Head of IT Retail Solutions

About the Role

Reporting to the GM of IT, you will provide technical expertise, delivering innovation retail solutions that provide business value and meet business stakeholders requirements, including necessary strategies, documentation, automated testing, deployment and tech transformation. The role is responsible for transforming and operating technology platforms both web, mobile, ecommerce underpinning critical customer experience. You will also lead the team to deliver complex and large scale technology development and solutions that provide business value and meet customer requirements, encouraging team's use of innovative approaches and tools to solve high impact, complex problems. You will need to embed an agile development methodology, drive the digitization roadmap and release schedule and ensure the timely and efficient delivery and iteration of all consumer related digital touchpoints. Lastly, manage stakeholder relationships and facilitates mutually beneficial negotiations to develop innovative solutions, ensuring they meet current and emerging business and technical needs.

The successful application

  • Bachelor degree in Computing Engineering, Computer Sciences, IT, or any related disciplines
  • At least 10 years of experience leading projects in a B2C environment with a strong grasp of ecommerce best practices
  • Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing complex projects, with budgets and timelines with large scale e-platform
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodology and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Ability to approach and communicate with a wide range of personalities - offshore and onsite teams
  • Good command in Chinese and English
