About the Client

A multinational sporting goods manufacturer is currently undergoing rapid expansion and is looking to strengthen its HR function by bringing on a strategic and creative Human Resources Director.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's business goals and support its rapid growth
  • Lead the talent acquisition process, including workforce planning, recruitment, selection, and onboarding of top talent at all levels
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, feedback, and career development planning
  • Design and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with industry standards and company culture
  • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to create a vibrant and supportive workplace culture
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR management and recommend enhancements to HR policies and practices
  • Manage and develop the HR team, providing leadership, guidance, and support for their professional growth and success

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree holder in Human Resources Management and or related discipline
  • Minium 15 years of progressive HR leadership and management experience gained from the Retail sector is HIGHLY preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws across Hong Kong and China
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and programs that support business objectives
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in spoken and written Chinese (including Mandarin) and English
