Operational Risk Manager

Our client is one of the leading retail bank in Hong Kong, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Risk professional to join their team. As an Operational Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the safety and soundness of the business operations.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement the operational risk management framework, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks across the organization.

- Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate operational risks, ensuring proper controls and risk mitigation strategies are in place.

- Collaborate with business units and departments to assess operational risks associated with their processes, systems, and activities.

- Provide guidance and support in the development and enhancement of operational risk controls and measures.

- Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and implement risk reporting mechanisms to ensure timely identification and escalation of potential operational risks.

- Conduct risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) to identify control weaknesses and recommend appropriate remedial actions.

- Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to operational risk management and recommend necessary changes to ensure compliance.

- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance risk awareness and promote a strong risk culture across the organization.

- Provide expertise and guidance during audits and regulatory examinations related to operational risk management.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, risk management, or a related field (preferred).

- Fluent in Cantonese, good command in English and Mandarin

- Proven experience as an Operational Risk Manager or in a similar operational risk management role.

- In-depth knowledge of operational risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices.

- Strong understanding of risk assessment techniques, control frameworks, and key risk indicators.

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to operational risk management.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex processes and identify areas of risk.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to drive change and implement risk management initiatives.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
