Assistant Project Director (E&M)

As a key member of our project management team, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of engineering and construction projects within our technology and innovation hub.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage assigned projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Utilize your hands-on ability in project management to oversee the planning, design, procurement, and construction stages of electrical and mechanical (E&M) systems.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external consultants, contractors, and government authorities to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare project plans, specifications, and documentation for tendering processes, evaluating bids, and making recommendations for awarding contracts.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement effective mitigation measures to ensure timely completion and successful handover.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise in E&M systems to project teams and stakeholders, offering innovative solutions and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Possess 12 years of experience, but ideally with 15 years, in building services design, ELV/IT/Smart system design, project management of which at least 8 years should be at supervisory level
• Member of a recognized local professional institute in the discipline of CEng, HKIE or related disciplines
• Knowledge in BIM/ Carbon Neutrality/ BEAM Plus/ MIC/ MIMEP is an advantage
• Proven track record of successfully delivering E&M projects, including hands-on experience in project planning, design, procurement, and construction.
• Experience in different scale projects ranging from Laboratory, Hospital, Hotel, A&A works, renovations to new built construction would be an advantage
• Familiarity with local regulations and submission processes related to building services installations and E&M systems.
