About The Client
Our client is a well-established Asian family office, currently hiring a Legal Counsel to join as an addition to the Legal & Compliance team.
About The Role
Reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel, you will:
- Provide legal support and coordination of any projects that the Family Office is involved in
- Manage external counsel, review of documentation and assistance with any legal issues
- Draft and review legal documentation, including any agreements, company resolutions, joint venture agreements, powers of attorney, employment and any services agreements
- Perform research across a wide range of subject areas and provde recommendations
- Oversee corporate transactions (incorporation, ownership transfer etc) in various jurisdictions, including the preparation of the relevant documentation
- Advise senior management on upcoming regulatory developments impacting the business
- Cover any ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements
- Lawyer with 10+ years PQE, admitted to practice in a common law jurisdiction
- Outstanding research, analysis and communication skills are a must
- Creative approach to problem solving with strong analytical skills, results driven, detail oriented with a delivery focus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese, with strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude, personal commitment to the team and understanding the need and importance of team work
