About our client:
Our client is a global e-commerce company specializing in a wide range of affordable products for home and garden, DIY, and more. This is a newly created role that will play a crucial part in the company international expansion and product development efforts. The Product Development Specialist will work closely with the International Buyer to identify, evaluate, and develop new products that align with our company's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in product development, sourcing, and international trade, with a focus on the e-commerce industry.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the International Buyer to identify market trends, consumer demands, and competitive landscape to drive product development strategies.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential product opportunities and gaps in the market.
- Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, including product design, sample evaluation, testing, and production scheduling.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies to drive product innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in product development of home / furniture.
- Detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English and Chinese
