About our client

Our client is an EMS manufacturing provider industry, with owned brand in the international markets, dedicated to providing high-quality OEM and OBM solutions to overseas customers. With 30 years of experience in the industry, they have operations across different countries.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of product development, production, and delivery to ensure seamless coordination and timely fulfillment.

About the role

  • Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in the US and China to develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocations;
    • Create detailed project schedules and tracking mechanisms to ensure adherence to deadlines and delivery commitments;
    • Facilitate regular meetings and communication between the US retail, Hong Kong management, and China manufacturing teams to align on project goals, deliverables, and progress;
    • Identify potential risks, bottlenecks, or issues, and proactively develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact.
  • Production Management:
    • Collaborate with the US retail team to incorporate customer feedback and facilitate design changes, while maintaining production schedules.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination:
    • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure product shipments from China to the US market on time;
    • Obtain supply chain data and share with internal team to provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance delivery performance.
  • Stakeholder Management and Reporting:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between the US office and the China manufacturing team, fostering clear and effective communication;
    • Provide regular progress updates and executive-level reporting to both the US and China stakeholders, addressing any issues or concerns promptly;
    • Foster a culture of teamwork, transparency, and continuous improvement across the US-China operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field;
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a project management role, preferably in an OEM/OBM environment;
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional projects with global stakeholders;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate cultural differences and build strong relationships;
  • Proficient in both English and Mandarin Chinese (written and verbal);
  • Adept at using project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Monday;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Experience in consumer goods is preferred;
  • Willingness to travel between Hong Kong, China, and the US as needed.
