About The Client
Our client maintains a premier and luxurious image within the Retail & FMCG market. As they continue to grow, they are highly ambitious for the future and currently, they are hiring a Senior Manager, Learning & Development to join as part of the Human Resources team.
About The Role
Leading the Corporate Learning & Development team, and in close collaboration with the retail business, you will:
- Develop and oversee the delivery of an agreed learning and development strategy, in conjunction with the Group Head of L&D/Talent Management, respective business units and other key internal stakeholders
- Considering the short, medium, and long term strategies of the business, you will build, review and revamp frameworks around career development, succession planning, talent management, leadership development and professional development
- Build effective, collaborative working relationships with relevant senior leadership representatives, site leaders, HR teams and subject matter experts to understand and continually re-evaluate organisational learning and development needs to ensure they are aligned with business direction and regulatory standards
- Build and create robust methods for tracking, data reporting, evaluating and analysing performance of the L&D function and the effectiveness of the programmes it delivers
- Lead and coach the Learning and Development function to ensure it is high-performing and value adding through effective recruitment, induction, training, development, performance management and leadership of all members of the team
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the L&D function to ensure process and practices are continually reviewed and lessons learned lead to ensure best practice across the business units
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar relevant field
- Demonstratable experience of successfully developing and implementing learning and development plans, across a fast moving and complex organisation within the retail sector
- Comfortable operating in a matrix organisation and delivering through others as part of a shared vision
- Persuasive influencer who is comfortable communicating at senior leadership level
- Evidence of strategic involvement in previous roles
- Strong project management skills, ability to priortise time and workload, and multitask
- Capacity to embrace and drive change
- Proactive and challenging, showing boundless curiosity
- Highly self-motivated, with a positive can-do attitude
- Tenacious and a strong team player
- Proficiency in English and Chinese required
