Technical Manager - Home Appliances

Our client is a leading company in the home appliances industry, specializing in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of high-quality household products. With a strong presence in the Hong Kong market, they are committed to delivering innovative and reliable solutions to meet the evolving needs of consumers.

We are seeking a experienced Technical Manager to join our client's team. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the introduction of new technologies, providing expert guidance in case of damage, and conducting competitive analysis. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing technical training and support to our field service organization and related parties.

About the role:

1. Provide direct technical guidance, training, and support to our field service organization, customer service, and related parties.
2. Conduct demand analysis for service training management and implement service controlling and data analysis.
3. Enhance service support tools and technical documentation, including improving call assistance information and translating and localizing technical documentation.
4. Monitor product liability and ensure compliance with relevant regulations for product compliance.
5. Stay updated with local national norms, especially technical guidelines for handling hazardous materials and energy consumption.
6. Establish and maintain strong relationships with service partners, factories, product compliance and factory compliance managers, local associations, and consumer test organizations.
7. Utilize consumer experience management principles to identify and negotiate with consumers effectively.
8. Support company accreditations, such as ISO9000, etc.
9. Execute technical service projects in Hong Kong and Macau service operation management or other technical business development assignments.
10. Monitor and achieve operational key performance indicators as assigned by company management.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the domestic and/or professional appliances industry.
3. Experience in premium brand management and quality management.
4. Individual certifications like medical product specialist or health and safety officer would be an advantage.
5. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Cantonese.
6. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
